Navigate to BoB2→ Promotions→ Promotions → Blogs → Blog Post
This will display the “Blog Posts” screen, with a list of all of the Blogs. To add a new one, press the ‘Add new’ button in top-right corner
Within the info tab, choose your language, populate your blog title and then populate the Body text using the text editor (if you are copying content from MS Word, first copy into a simple text editor such as notepad before copying out into the blog post. MS Word will embed lots of style info that you do not want and following this process will remove it). You can format your body text using the text editor menu.
HINT: turning ‘Show blocks’ and ‘Visual aids’ on in the View menu is very helpful for formatting
- Populate the Body Overview. This is a small summary snippet that will appear on the blog listings page i.e. https://www.mx5parts.co.uk/blog
- Tick ‘Allow comments’ if you wish to allow people to leave comments
- Tick ‘Include in sitemap’
- Set a start and end date for your blog post
- If you want to limit the post to a specific store, populate the field by clicking in and selecting a store, or stores from the list.
- Next add a search engine friendly page name. nopCommerce will generate one for you when you save the post, so you have no need to populate this field unless you have a specific url you would like to use.
- Add a Meta title
- Add Meta keywords
- Add Meta description
Now click save and continue edit in the top-right corner and scroll back down to the Rich Blog section
Now upload a home page picture. This will appear on the blog listings page i.e. https://www.mx5parts.co.uk/blog. This will need to be a minimum width of 580px and the recommendation is 580px x 325px.
Next upload the blog list picture that will appear at the top of the listing i.e. https://www.mx5parts.co.uk/information-how-to-change-the-battery-on-your-mx5-mk1-mk2-and-mk3. This will want to be 1280px x 720px.
Click Save in the top-right corner
