Navigate to BoB2 → Promotions → Discounts
You will be displayed with a list of the Discounts in BoB. From here you can search for Discounts using the filters at the top and then see the results in the list below. There are options to “Add New” via the button in the top-right corner allowing you to build a new Discount. There are also buttons per result row to “Edit” a Discount which will take you to the Discount screen.
Discount Types
Discount Applied to Order Total
For a Discount applied to the website against all Products (E.g. Easter Sale 10% off) Press “Add New”, define the following…
- Name
- Discount Type – Assigned to Order Total
- Define Amount (Percentage or Amount)
- Start and End Date for the Discount to be active
- Requires coupon code or not? (If you want the user to enter “EASTER5” or not have to enter anything.
- Press Save
Discount Applied to Products
Press “Add New”, define the following…
- Name
- Discount Type – Assigned to Products
- Use Percentage – 10%
- Start and End Date for the Discount to be active
- Press Save
- Go to the “Applied to Products” tab and add the Products you want to apply the Discount to, there are options to add individual Products via the “Add New Product” button or to add “Add All Missing Products” which will attempt to add all eligible Products to the Discount. You will also notice a checkbox labelled “Sync to all products”, which will ensure that when new eligible Products are created, they are then added to the Discount.
Discount Applied to Categories
Press “Add New”, define the following…
- Name
- Discount Type – Assigned to Categories
- Use Percentage – 10%
- Start and End Date for the Discount to be active
- Press Save
- Go to the “Assigned to Category” tab and press “Add a new category”, select a category or the Source category if you wish to set to all.
Discount Requirements
Limited to Customer Role
From the Requirements tab you can also define Discount Requirements. The example below shows a limit for the Discount to be used by only a specific Customer Role.
